I transform the textures, colors, and quiet patterns of the natural world into tactile, abstract, layered artworks. Working in silk painting, botanical printing, watercolor, acrylic, and charcoal, I enjoy disrupting the line to create details that ask you to look closer.

Loose, intuitive mark-making sits alongside the calm edges, veins, and washes of the botanical pieces. I layer leaves and flowers to register subtle surface variations, then build washes, marks, and charcoal lines around those impressions. Washes, scratches, and charcoal create echoes of the botanicals while also driving the work toward abstraction. I disrupt the line—smudging, scoring, breaking edges—to generate unexpected texture and tension. 

The process is hands-on and experimental, a quiet conversation between chance and intention that shapes how each piece negotiates light, shadow, and surface. My goal is simple: to invite people to look closer. Each piece asks you to notice small structures and subtle colors, bringing a quiet, earthy presence into home and wardrobe.
